Theatre Lab Company takes on Antigone by Sophocles and is currently looking for the entire cast of the play. The production will take place in spring (May/June): - Antigone: young princess, elegant, assertive - Ismene, her sister: young princess, elegant, fragile - Creon, the king: in his early forties, powerful, stubborn - Haemon, his son, Antigone’s fiancé: young prince, responsible, rational - Eurydice, the Queen, Creon’s wife(very small part): in her mid thirties, innocent and desperate - Chorus (4 parts): male actors with excellent vocal and physical abilities - Tiresias, the priest: old and wise oracle reader - A Sentry: male soldier, simple and fearful - A messenger: male passionate storyteller Workshops/Auditions will be held on Thursday 8th, Friday 9th and Saturday 10th of October. Successful applicants will be informed on their time slot and address detail for the audition and should come prepared with a classical monologue (4 min max length). Also, note that all applicants should be prepared to take part in individual and group improvisation. We need people with large understanding of Greek tragedies as well as people with a huge confidence in their ability to undertake such script. The company at the moment can only pay a small fee to the actors. |
