Actors of Polish origin (able to speak in a Polish accent that would be convincing to Poles) are required for a read-through for a new cross-generational theatrical live literature piece entitled Dementia Diaries. Actors with a playing age of 60+ are particularly welcomed. Roles available for two older females and one older male, plus one younger female and male. Proposed read-through: Weds 24 September, at a rehearsal space just outside Brighton. Pick-up from Brighton Station. Manchester-based production company making comedic short entitled OLD TIMER. We need three male speaking parts and one female non-speaking, all to look around 80 years old.
JOEL AS AN OLD MAN - Main character, he's a 30-year old caucasian man who wakes up next to his beautiful girlfriend to discover that he's 80. A fun and challenging role. No nudity required but you'll spend the first scene wearing nothing but a pair of colourful boxer shorts! Ethnicity: caucasian. Needed for 5 days.
GRANDDAD - Imperious and haughty 80-year old who dies at the beginning and appears throughout at the film as a ghost. Needed for 3 days. Ethnicity: caucasian.
'SILVER FOX' - Debonair and handsome 80-year old, resident in a nursing home. Regales anyone who'll listen with tales of 'fighting the Japs' in Burma during World War Two. Needed for 1 day. Ethnicty: unimportant.
'OLD DEAR' - Non-speaking but comedic role. Obsessively applies make-up throughout her scene. Needed for 1 day. Ethnicity: unimportant.
We're very low budget but will pay a small daily wage. Also, all food, expenses, travel and accomodation supplied.

Garden Experience Show Team 2009
Garden Hotels, Mallorca, Spain.
We are currently recruiting performers for our
Show Team 2009.
Applicants should be high energy, versatile singers with dance ability. You will perform 4/5 different live shows, touring our 3*/4* hotels in Mallorca in a team of 6. The Show Team will perform 6 nights a week and will also work in promoting the shows within the hotels.
We provide:
1. Accommodation
2. EEUU contract (1st May – end October)
3. Paid flights (After completion of contract)
4. Meals during working hours
5. Competitive salary: 1100€ gross (1000€ net approx.)
6. Paid social security
Successful applicants will be invited to our rehearsal period in April where all performers will live in one of our hotels with all meals provided.
