Snail Tales is seeking a male actor to support their Theatre-In-Education Christmas Pantomime involving puppetry, multiple roles and improvisation.
No experience of puppetry is needed, as basic training can be provided. Your roles will vary from cows through Snow White to giants, so you will have a great opportunity to demonstrate your range in a school setting.
A number of performances are being videotaped and professionally produced, giving you an addition to your showreel.
THE PLOT:
Nancy Cankerneedle is fairy godmother to several famous fairytale characters. But when she gives their Christmas presents to her footman Charlie to deliver, he mixes them up bigtime. Soon, Dick’s cat is losing lives rapidly, Cinderella is taking a bite from a poisoned apple, and Snow White is leading seven giants in her quest to take over the land.
What happens at the end is decided in an improvised scene based on suggestions from the audience!
