Strong singers must be good dancers.
Girls: prepare ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ and ‘Somebody to Love’.
Boys: prepare ‘I Want To Break Free’ and ‘Stars’.

“Girls wanted: for BOYBAND.
Are you a singer or a dancer?
Do you want to be a part of a boyband with a difference?
Boyband:
We’re making a boyband. Not a play about boybands. Not boys even. Girls dressed up as boys, singing songs about girls (and boys) in the presence of an audience.
The boyband will be launched at the Theatre in the Mill festival, Bradford.
Casting Breakdown:
-2 female performers needed to form a 3 member male vocal harmony group. A boyband.
-Influences: TakeThat, East17, BackStreetBoys, NKOTB, *NSYNC. Not Westlife.
-Any level of performer experience welcome. We're looking for people who want to jump up and down with joy. Doing so in time is essential.
-Applicants do not need to have performed as a ‘drag king’ before.
-Strong vocal skills and dancing ability required.

Initial development period: July – October 2008. Boyband members may be needed throughout 2009.
Qualities:
I’m looking for performers who’ll love this project with all their heart. Who’ll woo their audience gently and generously and dedicate themselves to creating something extraordinary; with a willingness to commit over time, into the future, and to the other boys in the band. It's going to be fun. I look forward to meeting us...
Collaboration:
It's our hope that this project will inspire small scale collaborative pieces of work and creative responses from artists across all disciplines.
The boyband is the beautiful spectacle, the heart of the project is about building a community around the band, so if you are a craftsperson, theatre/film maker, photographer, scribbler, puppeteer, musician, songwriter, designer, creative technician, promoter, venue manager, blogger, web designer, sound engineer, singing coach, or simply have an interest as a ‘fan’ then please get in touch!

CLOWN AROUND IN THE SUN!
Do you have at least one circus or magic skill: juggling, unicycling, magic, stilts, etc? Do you have a natural sense of clowning/character work?
5 jobs up for grabs! Starts July, approx. 16 hours per week.
7 weeks work in fab hotels (Mediterranean). Flights and accommodation + half board + excellent rates of pay.
Do you fit the bill? Successful performers will be trained to perform 4 stage shows, children’s parties by top UK professionals. Costumes and props supplied. |
